Flowerfield Township Meeting Minutes

 FLOWERFIELD TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING
APRIL 3, 2006

The meeting was called to order by Carroll Parmeter at 7:00 p.m.  Pam Altimus, Paul Williams, Sally Hackenberg, Ron Shaver and Carroll Parmeter were all present.  There were eleven visitors.

ADDITIONS
Problems with Pam’s computer

Training for Treas and Dep. Treas

Paul made the motion to approve the Agenda with the additions, seconded by Carroll, motion carried.

APPROVAL OF MARCH 6, 2006 MINUTES
Paul made the motion to approve the March 6, 2006 minutes, seconded by Pam, motion carried.

REPORTS
Assessor-Shalice was not present.

Tony from Rural Inspections was present, there is one land division and one permit for a pole building.

PCB-Toben stated that Brad from the extension office will call us and let us know when DEQ has funds available from the Rocky River Watershed grant.
Toben also said the PCB has approved George Wilkins landsplit, but now he doesn’t want it.

OLD BUSINESS
Ron Shaver made the motion to hire Bill Kruger for the position of cemetery sexton, seconded by Carroll with a roll call vote as follows; Ron-yes, Pam-yes, Sally-yes, Carroll-yes and Paul-yes.

Policy for bill paying was discussed by the board members, it was decided that everything  should be itemized, mileage, date, where to, receipts for books, complete phone bills, deputies- dates of what days they worked. 

NEW BUSINESS
Sally made the motion to increase the Board of Review wages to $15 per hour and to make it retroactive to Jan. 06, seconded by Paul, with a roll call vote as follows; Pam-yes, Sally-yes, Carroll-yes, Ron-yes and Paul-yes. 

Carroll made the motion to increase the deputies wages to $12 per hour, seconded by Pam with a roll call vote as follows; Ron-yes, Pam-yes, Paul-yes, Sally-yes and Carroll –yes.

Sally made the motion to increase the PCB wages to $40 per meeting, seconded by Paul with a roll call vote as follows; Paul-yes, Carroll-yes, Sally-yes, Pam-yes and Ron-yes.

Pam informed the board that her computer crashed again on Feb. 27.  Dell repaired it with a reconditioned hard drive again.  Ron made the motion to buy a computer for Pam with a limit of $1300, seconded by Paul with a roll call vote; Paul-yes, Carroll-yes, Ron-yes, Sally-yes and Pam-yes.  Toben will use her old one for PCB business.

Road chloride was discussed by the board and decided not to decide until prices were checked out at other sources. 

Pam discussed with the board a training in May for Treasurers and their deputies and stated that they would like to go.  Carroll made the motion to approve this with a cost of $196 per person, seconded by Paul with a roll call vote; Paul-yes, Sally-yes, Carroll-yes, Pam-yes and Ron-yes.

EXPENDITURES
Paul made a motion to pay expenditures 2205(2225void) through 2232, seconded by Pam, motion carried.

ADJOURNMENT
Paul made the motion to adjourn, seconded by Ron, motion carried with the meeting adjourning at 9:00 p.m.
